Frillice

Also known as pea lettuce because of it's mild flavour of peas. Good in salads and as decoration.

Season: May-October

Frisée

Has whispy green leaves and a rich and aromatic flavour, but has a quite bitter taste. Therefore, they are best together with other salads or as toppings.

Season: May-November

Curly green

Also known as green oak leaf. With a rather surprisingly bitter taste, curly endive livens up blends of baby greens and lettuce salads. Slightly milder once cooked, it is an original and delicious vegetable served as a side dish.

Season: April - November

Heart lettuce

Available both as a green and red variety. Sweet lettuce variety which complements salads combined with bitter lettuce. Split in half or quarters. Can be served raw, grilled or braised.

Lollo bionda

Green leaf lettuce. Mild spicy taste. Beautiful as decoration and suitable for mixed salads.

Romaine

Green lettuce with large leaves which have a very brittle structure. Strong flavoured with a slight nutty after taste. Good in salad and as decoration.
